about arno

I am an acupuncturist, herbalist and integrative medicine practitioner.

For me healing is the result of learning about myself and others in my life’s journey as an artist, a father, an endurance athlete, a buddhist and an entrepreneur. At the heart of my ventures is constant meditation and inquiry. Meditation led me to running, meditation led me to reiki, meditation led me to art, meditation led me to mountain rescue, meditation led me to traditional chinese medicine (apparently meditation leads to many things).

I’m a dedicated and passionate ultra endurance athlete (Ironman triathlons, ultramarathons, mountain running, ski mountaineering) –  I have completed and ranked well in prestigious races such as the Boston MarathonUltra Trail du Mont Blanc, Pikes Peak Marathon , Miwok 100, etc. My drive for supporting others reach their full potential in life and in sports was born at Disney when I was coaching athletes on the Disney Tri Team. We even earned some medals at the Malibu Triathlon and at Escape from Alcatraz). I’m also an avid mountaineer and skier and love the Sierra Nevada and the French Alps. Follow my adventures here on my blog (you can also hire me as a coach or mentor for your own adventures). I believe a balanced, mindful and compassionate life style is the key to good health and happiness. I suggest attending one of my running and meditation workshops

It’s this passion for supporting others being healthy and perform well that has led me to Traditional Chinese Medicine. Every patient I meet and treat has a story that is unique and my mission is to embrace and honor the profound power of his or her mind, body, community and spirit. In other words I aim to be a healing helper and put into practice  a visionary model of health care providing a whole-person approach to comprehensive health, wellness and longevity

I graduated in 2017 from Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA,  with a Master’s in Traditional Oriental Medicine and I am now a Doctoral fellow specializing in emergency care. I treat patients every week at the school’s clinic under the supervision of very unique and talented doctors. I also intern at The Roy and Edna Disney Family Cancer Center in Burbank as well as Being Alive in West Hollywood.
